Letter "Gg" Recognition Craft Projects & Activities We spend one week reinforcing each letter with crafts and activities after it is introduced. "Gg" is for Gingerbread Boy Puppet Cut gingerbread boy cookie shapes out of brown construction paper. Cut white strips for "icing" with scalloped edge scissors. We stamped them with the letter G to reinforce our letter of the week. Click here...Winter Theme "Gg" is for Green Color with green crayons or markers. "Gg" is for Green Glitter Color with green crayons, draw a line of glue and sprinkle with green glitter. Other ideas for collaging with letter Gg, Glue colored green with food coloring Grass - either from outside or use green Easter grass. First-School Letter Gg page Carl's Corner Letter G - This comes with a sheet to color, cut, and paste to the letter. Letter G Sponge Painting Invest in some Alphabet and misc. sponges for crafts like this. They are about $2 or $3 per bag at Walmart. Also available from school supply stores. We use ours to make a page like this for every letter we are learning from September through May. Parents are encouraged to take them home and post them where the child can see and practice every day. When we finish the entire alphabet they can make them into a book or put them into a binder. Group Time Activity "Gg" is for Garbage Label a large garbage bag with the letters "Gg". Place several objects with names that begin with G on the floor around the bag. Tell children to sit in a circle around you. Then ask them to close their eyes while you put one of the objects in the bag. Invite them to guess which object is missing. Place several other objects on the floor that do not begin with g. Invite children to take turns putting only g objects in the bag.
