Letter "Uu" Recognition Craft Projects We spend one week reinforcing each letter with crafts and activities after it is introduced. "Uu" is for Umbrella Use a toothbrush to dip in blue paint and flick with your thumb to make the rain spatter on the page. Bring in a variety of objects and place them in a box or bag. Then open an umbrella and place it in front of you. Tell children they will be guessing what's under the umbrella from clues you provide. Emphasize that the words "under" and "umbrella" begin with the letter u. Then hide an object under the umbrella. Give simple clues such as "it's yellow" "You write with it" (pencil).
