"Vv" is for Vase of Violets
Draw a general outline of a vase to use as a template to trace onto construction paper for each child to cut out. Give children green strips, purple flower shapes, and a small yellow circle to assemble into violets. We only glued around the outside of the vase to allow the flower stems to be removable.
V is for Valentine!
We study the letter V in February so we can make Valentines. Trace and cut out a handprint. Glue to a heart with middle two fingers glued down. Display as is or make them into a nice valentines day card. Here are more ideas for Valentine's Day crafts

Violets, Letter V Sponge Painting
Invest in some Alphabet and misc. sponges for crafts like this, available from school supply stores. You can sometimes find them at hobby stores, $1 store, or Walmart. We use ours to make a page like this for every letter we are learning from September through May. Parents are encouraged to take them home and post them where the child can see and practice every day. When we finish the entire alphabet they can make them into a book or put them into a binder (You will need to cut down the construction paper if you want to put them into a binder.
"Vv" is for Volcano paper craft
We just made this one as a group for display in our classroom
The Best Kids Book Site Volcano Craft
Make a vest for each child from a large paper grocery bag. Cut a neck hole and two arm holes, and then cut open the front. Invite children to paint or stamp colorful V's all over their vests. Invite children to wear their vests throughout the day or have a vest parade.

*NOTE: We used wet sand in our sand table instead of dirt. It worked out great! Easy cleanup, just mixed the "lava" up in the sand.
